Paris Bastille Apartment ~ The Apartment

	The apartment is located on Cour Damoye, which is a private pedestrian street entered from 12 Place de la Bastille. The quiet street and the building are in a historically protected area, and there are no cars, motorcycles or garbage trucks on Cour Damoye. For more information and photos, click on image at left.
	The apartment measures approximately 40 square meters (approx. 430 square feet) and has a living room with double sleeper sofa, separate bedroom with queen-size bed, a large remodeled kitchen, and a split bath. The floor plan allows one to four people to occupy the apartment comfortably. A sense of space is provided by these separate areas, starting with the gracious entry hall. 	The living room ("sejour") is as beautiful as it is functional. Featuring a red velvet sleeper sofa and window seat, accented by Pierre Deux toile curtains, this space efficiently serves as extra sleeping area, home office, dining area and living room. 	The dining area features a beautiful antique oval wood table, an antique cobbler's shop sign, and four high-backed parson's chairs with ribbon tiebacks. For more information and photos, click on image at left.
	The recently renovated kitchen is separated from the living room and dining area by a red toile tie-back curtain, which can be closed against an original wood beam dating centuries back. For more information and photos, click on image at left.
	The gold-toned bedroom features a queen-size bed and generous built-in storage space. The cable TV and VCR sit atop a whimsical dresser, and a radio/CD/cassette player are available to help set just the right mood. The large toile-curtained window opens onto quiet Cour Damoye.
