The living room features a red velvet double-bed-size sleeper sofa and a cozy red velvet window seat overlooking Cour Damoye. The  double-pane windows  are graced by elegant red and cream color Pierre Deux toile curtains in the "Marie Antoinette" pattern.  The windows open wide to let in the fresh air of Paris mornings.  Across the room, under the skylight, is a handsome and compact computer armoire that features more storage and that houses the telephone and your laptop computer, using the apartment's wireless high-speed internet connection. The computer armoire is surrounded by whimsical figures of a blacksmith lamp, a harlequin umbrella stand and an old Parisian wire wastebasket.  The walls are adorned by original photographs of Paris by night, taken by the owner during her many trips to Paris.

During recent renovations, the modern style wall radiator was replaced with a vintage-style radiator that circulates hot water produced by a new hot water boiler in the kitchen.  The heat can be individually regulated for each room.  A  map of old Paris hangs above the radiator, next to an original wood beam which is centuries old.  Dimmer switches on the living room wall sconces add to the romantic atmosphere.
