The Bastille Métro entrance is less than one minute from Cour Damoye.  The apartment is on direct metro lines (no changing connections)  to the Louvre, Champs Elysées, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Hotel de Ville, and the Opera Garnier. The Métro station is decorated with brightly colored murals commemorating the Revolution.  In addition, some of the bricks from the original Bastille fortress are encased in the walls of the Métro station.   For other types of transportation, the taxi station is across the street at the Opera Bastille, and there are numerous bus lines that intersect the Bastille. Three major train stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord) are within a short direct Métro ride from Place de la Bastille.
