Historic "Cour Damoye" is a tranquil oasis in the middle of the bustling Bastille area. A private pedestrian cobblestone street located between Place de la Bastille and Rue Daval, it is on the border of the Marais and the Bastille -- near the dividing line between the 4th and 11th arrondissements. Its gates are closed at night for the comfort and security of its residents, and during the day its ground floor shops and galleries are open to the public.
